Vehicle System Failures

What contributed to this automobile incident?
This vehicle was reported stolen, and was found by the authorities in flames. We found evidence in the vehicle that corroborated the owner’s account of a stolen vehicle. We were able to determine the probable means of entry, and that the fire originated in the passenger compartment. We recovered evidence for analysis by a specialized laboratory to determine how the thief was able to overcome the vehicle anti-theft system. This data can then be used to develop better anti-theft systems, as well as to help the authorities prosecute those responsible for the theft.
